I read this back when it was posted, but I hadn't commented on it yet... Maybe other people have been shy about it because they don't want to admit they read a fic with golden showers in it. Or maybe they just hadn't read it yet. Well, I'm finally coming out and commenting after reading it again a couple nights ago.
As much as I don't care for golden showers at all, and it would normally seriously squick me, I gave this a chance because it was y'all who wrote it. So, with this fic, it was the interaction between Lucius and Severus that really got to me. The way that Lucius, while acting the dominant role with Severus, shows some vulnerability in letting Severus do things to him that obviously are difficult for him. The awkwardness and the not-perfectness of how they're behaving with each other-- in their dialogue especially, and the way that sex sure isn't perfect at the end, not even reaching "completion" for Lucius. It's not a rosy happy all-goes-well relationship, and that really comes through. I could do without the piss for sure, but somehow... it works. Severus may be letting Lucius mark him in an animalistic way... but then Lucius asks Severus to do the same to him.
